Lauryn Holsopple

MARCH 18, 2019 - We are proud to announce our first ever #QCITYZEN Lauryn Holsopple.  Lauryn has been a consistent athlete with Queen City FC starting as a U13 player.  As she enters her 6th season as a U19 player, she has been one of QCFC's most improved players due to hard work and dedication.  Often found at many of our additional trainings and workouts, Lauryn has always had a positive attitude and has showed great perserverence in training.

Off the field, Lauryn is equally impressive as she maintains a 4.2 GPA at Milton High School and is projected to be in the Top 3 of her class rank as a 2019 graduate at the end of the spring.  She is currently also enrolled in classes at UVM to become an EMT, where she will be getting her license in the spring.  After high school, she will be going to college in Vermont, and hopes to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level, while planning on going into the medical field.

"Joining the QC family was the best decision I have ever made for my soccer career. The coaches here were the first to see the potential in my passion and dedication. They believed in me and helped build me to the player I am today. Thanks to confidence and skill I’ve gained with Queen City, I was able to be part of two state championship winning teams as well as earning All-Lake Division Second Team honors in my senior year," commented Lauryn, about her experiences with the club.

Club President and Founder Shane Bufano had many great things to add about Lauryn, "I'm so proud of all that Lauryn has accomplished on and off the field.  Watching her grow and evolve in all facets of life over the past 6 years has been a pleasure.  She is a great kid and is a kind and compassionate person.  With two young children of my own, I hope they can grow up to be like her some day as I am confident that she's going to go on and have a great career after graduation."

Congratulations Lauryn Holsopple, you are a great #QCITYZEN
